An Early Christmas Gift from Sara Mack...

A gift from Sara Mack? What could it be?...
A cover reveal and synopsis
of the last book in
her Guardian Trilogy?

Lucky readers gather 'round
it's finally the time and place,
for Sara to reveal to us
Emma's beautiful face!

A note from Sara Mack:

Happy Holidays Readers! This year has been crazy-good in ways I've never imagined, mostly thanks to all of you, your support, and your love for James, Emma, and Dane. I can't wait to share this chapter of their story with you (and neither can they!); February 1st can't get here fast enough!

As a special gift to you, here's an early look at the cover and synopsis of Reborn. I hope you love it just as much as I do; Emma finally has a face, and she's perfect. Of course, I'll be sharing more of Reborn in January; keep your eyes open for teasers and giveaways ;) Until then, here's wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Yours, Sara Mack

You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.

When Emma Donohue wakes to find her world turned upside down, she wants nothing more than to return to the life she knew. To a life filled with a loving family, close friends, and college classes. To a normal life that didn’t involve the supernatural, odd bracelets, or three strangers who refuse to leave her side.

Unsure of what truly happened during The Allegiant’s attack, Emma tries to reconcile her past with her growing feelings for James, Garrett, and Dane. They remain steadfast in her protection, awaiting the arrival of the only people who hold the answers.

The Larvatus.

When Madeline and Ash appear, the revelations they bring not only rock Emma’s world, but everyone she touches. Her mind is twisted, caught up in new abilities and new desires. Her old self forgotten, she has never been more scared. She has never been more confused.

She has never been more empowered.

You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.
But, sometimes, the absence leaves space for
something better.

I cannot explain to you how many emotions are running around my head and heart waiting for this last book to come out.  It's sure to be a story to capture the hearts of us all.  Whether you love James, Dane or Garrett it's sure to be a ride worth experiencing.

Thanks to Sara for the Christmas present!!! I think I can speak for everyone when we say we love Emma!!!

Allegiant (Guardian Trilogy #2) - Sara Mack RELEASE DAY & Interview with James

Synopsis for Allegiant:
Last Summer, Emma discovered that true love never dies.
It can return.
It can give you hope.
It can pull you from darkness.
Until it’s ripped from you.
                          Again.

As her 22nd birthday approaches, Emma Donohue finds herself back at school and utterly alone. Hours away from family and friends, her solitary days are spent contemplating what never should have been. James should never have died, but he did. He should never have been assigned as her Guardian, but he was. And she should never have allowed Dane to get too close to her heart.

But she failed.

Desperate to fill her time, Emma is intrigued by her mysterious new neighbor, Garrett. She’s never met anyone quite like him before, and, curious, she attempts to discover his past. Little does she know his presence will pull her into a world she could never imagine. A world that follows and ancient doctrine. A world built on loyalty, yet plagued by secrets and lies.
A world that will threaten everything – and everyone – she loves.

It's release day for the second book in the Guardian Trilogy and if you haven't read Guardian, stop what you are doing, right now...yes right now, go back and buy it, read it, and LOVE it!!! Then come back here and read the below interview I had with the yummy, James Davis.

I have to tell you girls, and I know some of you are Dane fans, but James is looking HOTT!!! He looks as amazing as I always pictured him while reading, athletically built, beautiful blue eyes with his light brown hair and just enough of a smile that I can tell he's a bit embarrassed by my openly staring at him.  (Totally worth it, by the way)

Tara: Hi, James! I'm so happy you could join me today.  I wasn't sure the boss would be willing to share, but after a modest amount of begging and pleading, she agreed to let you meet with me in honor of Allegiant's release day.  (Admittedly, it might have something to do with the slight crush I always tell Sara I have on James, but he doesn't need to know that, right?)

James:  Thanks for having me, Tara. I have to admit I’m a little nervous; this is my first interview.

Tara: Would you like to sit next to me? Would that help?

James: (chuckles) I already got in trouble with Em for standing too close to Meg. I’m not sure sitting next to another beautiful woman will go over very well.

Tara: (I am SO blushing now! He is just too adorable for words.)  Okay! Well, let’s get started. You have gone through quite a bit in a short amount of time, how are you holding up?

James:  Honestly, I don’t know. There are days when I feel this overwhelming gratitude that I’ve been given a second chance and others where I’m so confused I don’t know who I am anymore. It’s like I’m torn down the middle, and half of me wants to keep loving Emma and remain in her life while the Guardian side fights those feelings. The Allegiant seriously need to put out a rule book or a Cliffs Notes or something.

Tara: Isn’t that what your Guardian is for? To mentor you and help you learn the ropes?

James:  Yeah, that’s how it’s supposed to go. But Garrett abandoned me so he could…well, you know what happened.

Tara:  Since the boss gave me a sneak peak into it, I do...but let's move on to lighter topics, shall we?  What is your favorite color and why?

James: Red. I’m not sure why…my Jeep was red. Maybe it represents my protective nature.

Tara:  (This boy can protect me, anytime!)  James, we know the way to a man's heart is supposedly through his stomach, so if I...erh...I mean Emma were to make you dinner, what would be your favorite?

James:  Man, I miss food. Especially bacon cheeseburgers. And sweet potato fries. And foot-long cold cut combo subs. And…

Tara: Are you hungry?

James: (laughs) No. It’s the taste I miss more than anything.

Tara: What else do you miss?

James:  Sleep. Sleep is an escape; it allows your mind to rest. I never sleep, and my brain is constantly turning, constantly thinking. I wish there was a switch to turn it off every now and again.

Tara: I think we can all understand that feeling.  While we're speaking of thoughts though, tell us,  what do you really think of Dane? Tell the truth.

James:  The truth? If he wasn’t trying to get with Em, we’d probably be friends. Matt is a good judge of character, and if he approves of Dane, then I probably would have, too. I can’t discount everything he’s done to protect Emma; he’s a genuine guy. My Guardian side says I should be happy that someone like Dane is in Emma’s life, and I should be glad he can take care of her. The James side of me says he needs to back off and keep his hands to himself. Take a cold shower, buddy. She loved me first.

Tara:  *sighs* (oops, meant to do that in my head) Is is possible that you could be anymore perfect, seriously?

James: (looks doubtful) I’m far from perfect, believe me.

Tara: So, I know you have Emma and you aren't thinking about other girls... BUT if a girl WAS trying to win your heart - what would be the best way to it, you know for all the girls out there trying to impress their guys?

James:  I would have to say keep it simple and be yourself. Don’t try to be what you think your guy wants; let him get to know the real you. Emma and I were friends long before we were a couple, so I knew her true personality before we started dating. She was never into drama or gossip, and she always kept it real. I guess I go for girls who are natural, not a lot of fancy clothes or make up or any of that. I liked the fact that I could say, “Let’s go out” and she’d be ready to walk out the door in a minute.

Tara: Well for what it's worth, you've got my vote! So, I heard a rumor that you brought us a little something special?

James:  Yes! I have a scene from Allegiant that hit the cutting room floor during the final edits.

Tara: Well before we share this deleted scene, I wanted to thank you so much for joining me today...it has truly been my pleasure (and believe me ladies, it has been) to get to sit down and talk with you today. Do you think maybe Emma wouldn't mind if we hugged before you left, purely platonically of course (*fingers crossed behind my back*)

James: (smiles) Since you asked, I don’t think she’ll mind. (Leans forward) It doesn’t hurt that you just did that hair-flip thing. I think I might have another reason why my favorite color is red.

(I'm in love! *fans self*) If I'm only getting one hug, I'm going to make it count! So while I'm getting my hug on, please enjoy this deleted scene brought to you by the amazing, sexy and super sweet, James Davis.

Allegiant Deleted Scenes
James

He wanders down a cobbled path, studying the stones beneath his feet. The electric
hum that connects him to Emma has been steady today, which is a comfort. Maybe he is
doing something right after all.
James lifts his head and spots an empty bench beneath a large weeping willow tree.
He makes his way to it, leaving the path and crossing over the damp grass. Not because
he’s physically tired; Guardians don’t require rest. Sitting on a bench is just one of those
familiar human things that never go away.
He takes a seat and looks over the landscape The Allegiant have created. Today
the Intermediate resembles an early spring, where lilacs bloom and fill the air with
their sweet scent. Beside the path, colorful tulips and crocus break up the monotony
of the green grass. A light breeze blows, rustling the willow branches. James exhales
and appreciates the view. Tomorrow it will be a different season, and the flowers will
be gone. The bench won’t exist, and the path will change and lead a different direction.
When you have all of eternity to spend in one place, things need to be kept new and
fresh. They wouldn’t want the natives getting restless.
James looks to his left and sees an older man leaving the path. The moustache the
man wears reminds him of his father.
James shrugs. I really don’t care what you do, he thinks to himself.
The gentleman takes a seat and leans back. “Name’s Thomas.”
James gives him a curt nod. “James.”
Thomas crosses his arms and relaxes, taking in the scenery. James decides to look
in the opposite direction. He’s not in the mood for making friends. He has enough to
The two men sit in silence as another light gust of wind surrounds them. A bird
chirps in the distance and another answers its call. James smirks. There are no animals
in the Intermediate. The Allegiant have taken great measures to create today.
Thomas’ gaze stays fixed on the horizon. “You look conflicted.”
James turns to him, confused. Due to his surly attitude, not many Guardians have
approached him since Garrett’s departure, let alone asked about his well-being. “So?”
Thomas faces James and leans forward in a conversational way. “Care to share
what’s bothering you? Unload your burdens?”
James snorts. “I wouldn’t know where to begin.”
Thomas nods and then removes his glasses. “Believe it or not, I’ve been there.” He
rubs his eyes, and when he finishes, he pushes his glasses back into place.
James looks at him in shock. “How did you do that?”
Thomas frowns. “Do what?”
“Take off your glasses.”
“Ah,” Thomas smiles. “I thought you looked fairly new. Here,” he pauses, “let me
 show you.”

Wethering The Storm (The Mighty Storm #2) - Samantha Towle

Music journalist Tru Bennett has done the impossible: capture the heart of rock-star bad boy Jake Wethers. Now they’re busy planning a wedding and navigating their new life together in the US. Of course Tru misses London and her best friend, Simone, but living happily ever after with Jake in LA is going to be great…right?

Wrong. Even the bright California sun can’t whitewash the dark side of celebrity coupledom. Greedy music execs, merciless paparazzi, and Jake’s wild past are lurking around every corner. Making matters worse, Jake announces he doesn’t want kids, which just may be a deal breaker.

Tru loves Jake more than anything. But when a devastating crisis threatens to destroy everything they’ve fought for, the couple must face the hard truth: What if, this time, love is not enough?

“Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning.”

I loved The Mighty Storm, and I loved Jake Wethers.  It was a love at first read, move to my favorites right away and desires to hug Samantha, kind of love.  It’s because of that love, that I was a little nervous to read this book.  I know, crazy right? Samantha Towle is fabulous, Jake is AH-MAZING, so what is there to be nervous about, right? The thing is, I’ve felt so let down in other “can’t wait to read them” sequels, that it almost changes the entire series in my mind…I did not want that to happen with Jake.

I picked this book up, and read it in one sitting.  I could not put it down.  I looked at it, said there is no way I’m going to get through 390 pages tonight, set my bookmark in the middle and started reading.  Well, there went dinner and getting to bed on time for work tomorrow, because I could not put it down.  I read it in one sitting, and fell even more in love with Jake than I had been before.  I was mad at myself when I was finished because I missed the story already.

This Jake, was different than the Jake we had in TMS.  This Jake was more in control, he was happier.  He had his True Love and the world was right for him again, or as right as it could be.  There wasn’t anything else he needed.  “There isn’t anything I won’t do for you, Tru. Nothing I won’t do to make you happy. What I feel for you… it’s limitless. There is nothing before or after you. There is only you.” How could anyone not fall for this guy?!

Tru… well Tru was Tru.  She did things that made me shake my head, she frustrated me, not quite as bad as TMS, but still annoyed me…but it’s not like I didn’t get where she was coming from.  Insecurities are easy to come by when you are living in someone else’s world and that someone else is known as a rock-star, bad-boy, man-whore.  For some reason though, I still just wanted to reach through the book and say…you have Jake, woman-up and take control! And then in the instances where she did, I wanted to clap! I started to feel a little multiple personality disorder coming on.

I loved that we got both Tru and Jake’s POV in this book.  It was necessary to tell the story completely and I LOVED IT! I loved that we got to see how passionate Jake was.  He didn’t hold back on his feelings for Tru, to her, about her, around her…"You don't complete me, Tru. You make me who I am. You make me better. I'd be nothing without you. Nothing. I've been there once before, and I'm never going back. I'm never losing you again."

I don’t want to say anything that can give away any of the plot, but if you loved TMS, then this story is a must read.  Tru may not “complete” Jake but she made him better, this story makes TMS better!

Into the Deep (Into the Deep #1) - Samantha Young

Live young. Live hard. Love deep.

Charley Redford was just an ordinary girl until Jake Caplin moved to her small town in Indiana and convinced her she was extraordinary. Almost from day one Jake pulled Charley into the deep and promised he was right there with her. But when a tragic incident darkened Jake’s life he waded out into the shallows and left Charley behind.

Almost four years later Charley thinks she’s moved on. That is until she takes a study year abroad in Edinburgh and bumps into none other than Jake Caplin at a party with his new girlfriend. The bad-boy-turned-good attempts to convince Charley to forgive him, and as her best friend starts spending time with Jake’s, Charley calls a truce, only to find herself tumbling back into a friendship with him.

As they grow closer, the spark between them flares and begins playing havoc with their lives and relationships. When jealousy and longing rear their destructive heads, Charley and Jake struggle to come to grips with what they mean to one another.

And even if they work it out, there is no guarantee Charley will ever trust Jake to lead her back into the deep

Reading a Samantha Young novel is like being sucked through a portal from an Amy Bartol story.  I fell right through the compact and into Scotland.  This book gave me a little headache, a lot of heartache and my poor friend Cristin, a sore hand from having to hold mine all the way through… Samantha Young stole my heart, and I want it back!!!

“Do you promise to take care of me for the rest of forever, Jacob Caplin?” His eyes were grave as he replied, “I promise.  For the rest of forever.”

Charley Reford is a tough girl.   She’s a smart-ass with a good heart and does what she wants to do, which is usually the right thing.  She not like a lot of girls, she doesn’t get involved in gossip and drama.

Jake Caplin is the new kid in town.  He’s the smooth talking, reformed player, who gets Charley to open up and let him in – until he slams the door shut and breaks her heart.

It’s been 3 ½ years since Jake broke his promise to Charley and left her broken and not quite the girl she was before he came into her life.  But Charley had set goals, and she was sticking to them.  She wanted  to go to college, do a study abroad year in Scotland and become a cop.  While the cop part is still be negotiated with the family that loves her, she is going to college and when Into the Deep starts, has just gotten to Scotland with her college roommate, Claudia.  She’s a world away from Indiana, and still trying to move on with her life.

After meeting an American hottie, Beck, with a party flyer, they decide to go out and try to make new friends before classes start.  It was almost instant, my connection to Charley.  I felt like I could feel what she was feeling almost right away, excitement about a new city and living out one of her dreams and getting to do it with her best friend by her side.  And then I felt the pang of heartache when Charley and Jake’s eyes meet across the party (especially since he was with his girlfriend).  I held my breath as she ran away from him, and the party, and I didn’t want her to turn around when he called after her.  I didn’t know what he did, but I knew he was going to break my heart – umm, her heart.

This book takes us back and forth between the present in Scotland and the past in Indiana.  As we move through the story, we get to see what happened between Charley and Jake in the past, that has them reacting to each other the way they do in the present.  We could see and hear and feel the things only two people who knew each other inside out would know.  “Stop acting like you know me.” The muscle in his jaw ticked.  “A little hard to do…because I do know you.”  Thus commenced a death stare match.  We glared into one another’s eyes, neither refusing to give in, and then suddenly, memories of arguments ending in kisses flared behind my eyes.  I knew the moment Jake remembered too because the air between us wasn’t angry anymore…”  I felt like I was barely hanging on the entire time.

Since they met Beck (Jake’s best friend), and were introduced to his group of friends (also Jake’s group of friends) the torture for Charley continued as she had to not only be around Jake, but around Jake with Melissa.  I’m telling you TORTURE! I felt like I was going through it too.  And while the guys seemed to love Charley, and Lowe was great, I just couldn’t let myself open up to the possibility that anyone could replace the kind of love that they had found, even though they were only 16 and even though Jake seemed to have found it with Melissa.  It was killing me.

But the description is right…once you’ve been broken so badly by someone, can you ever really truly forgive them and move on? Would it show him how much she moved on, if she could move on with one of his friends?

Samantha Young brings us the first piece of this incredible story, and I for one will be cursing her until we get book 2 in 2014.

Indebted (The Premonition Series #3) - Amy A. Bartol

I hang my head in sorrow for just a moment when I know I am truly alone. I feel like I’m going to my execution, just as he had said. Then I move forward again. I hop a fence of fieldstone and cross a field dotted with Queen Anne’s lace. Goose bumps rise on my arms as I pass the cluster of windmills that I have seen in a dream. The scent is sweet in the field though, not the scent of heat, like it had been when it was forced upon me in visions. I gaze down the hill, beyond the small, whitewashed house that I knew would be there. The church looms dark and grim with its rough-hewn, timber façade, capped by tall, oblong spires reaching to the sky. Black, ominous clouds have collected above the roofline, as if Heaven is showing me the way.

80% of this book was 4.5 – 5 star material for me.  It was a little slow going in the beginning but once it picked up, I had trouble putting it down.  Even when I had to put it down for those pesky things like going to work, making dinner, etc., I was still thinking about it.  So much so, that even my thoughts started to have a brogue.  Thank goodness my friends are patient with me as a I was throwing out “moin” “dem” and “da fellas” here and there.

Once the book picked up, it was action packed and I loved it.  While the first book was mostly about Evie and her relationships, each book since has picked up more on the paranormal aspects of the story and with that more twist and turns that I still didn’t see coming.  You’d think by now I’d be better at it, but I’m always too focused on Russell and Reed…and I’ll admit it, even Brennus! That undead faerie is working his way into my heart too.  Damn you Amy Bartol!!!

I was a bit frustrated by Evie in this book.  Her need to protect Reed and Russell causes her to be irrational and make what could be considered bad decisions.  She wants Reed to treat her like an equal, but she doesn’t communicate with him either.  I just wanted to shake her and yell at her, or really I wanted Zee to do it because I think he wanted to as well.

On the flip side, this does help her “relationship” with Brennus, because he does listen to her and include her and… OH mo Dhia mo chroi bocht – Nil a fhios agam ce mhead nios mo is feidir liom a ghlacadh (I don’t know if that translates directly, and I know it’s missing accent marks, but it seemed more appropriate in Irish).

The one thing I do love about Evie in this book, is that she is getting stronger and learning to use more of her gifts to protect her and her families.  (Yup! I said families – ugh!) I also LOVE that Russell is getting stronger too, still swooning even though I love Reed too, there is just something about Russell!

Okay, then there is the thing that I really didn’t like…and that was the ending…and that’s mostly because there wasn’t really one! The story just kind of stopped.  Thank God I didn’t have to wait for book 4 because it is already out – but I can’t imagine if I was reading this at the time it was just released. I think I would have flipped, I feel for those that were in that situation.  I had to check twice to make sure I wasn’t missing pages on my Kindle.  Personally, I think there were places before it in the story that would have made for a better place to stop.  Luckily, the rest of the book more than makes up for it AND book 4 is already out so I have already started reading it.

“I can feel ye in my bones.  I crave the innocence in ye; even as I want ta take it from ye, so dat I can teach ye whah lies beyond dat innocence.  I love ye, mo chroi,” he whispers, “I will love ye forever.”

The obsession continues…

Inescapable - Amy A. Bartol

My name is Evie Claremont and this was to be the making of me–my freshman year of college. I’d been hoping that once I’d arrived on Crestwood’s campus, the nightmare that I’ve been having would go away. It hasn’t.
I may be an inexperienced seventeen-year-old, but I’m grounded…sane. I look for rational explanations to even the strangest circumstances. Since meeting sophomore Reed Wellington, however, nothing makes any sense. Whenever he’s near, I feel an attraction to him–a magnetic kind of force pulling me towards him. I know what you’re thinking…that sounds fairly awesome. Yeah, it would be…if he liked me, but Reed acts as if I’m the worst thing that has ever happened to Crestwood…or him. But get this, for some reason every time I turn around he’s there, barging into my life.
What is the secret that he’s keeping from me? I’m hoping that it’s anything but what I suspect: that he’s not exactly normal…and neither am I. So, maybe Crestwood won’t be the making of me, but it could be the breaking of me. I’ve been left to wonder if the dark future my dream is foretelling is…inescapable.

Do you know the plan a fighter has when he jabs repeatedly with his left hand so you are paying attention to it and then out of nowhere he lands a massive punch with his right hand that the guy never saw coming because he was too focused on the left hand? …. That, dear readers, is Amy Bartol and Inescapable!

Paranormal stories are tough.  People either love them, or they don’t.  And then even the people that love them, don’t love all of them.  I’ve been fortunate enough to read some pretty great PNR series, and this is definitely one I’d add to the recommendation list for people who do enjoy PNR!

Evie Claremont is a freshman a Crestwood.  She’s young and a bit naïve.  She’s had only one Uncle as her whole family all of her life since her mom died during childbirth and her dad has always been MIA.  Going away to school is scary and exciting all at once.  Being an academic scholarship student, you would think she tends to lean toward the boring and predictable but she’s actually funny and I enjoyed living in her head, “If I manage to get lost here, then I don’t’ deserve the academic scholarship they gave me.” This story works best because it’s told in the first person.

There are a couple swoon-worthy boys (though, I think the general consensus is that Reed is the only swoon-worthy one).  Reed Wellington is different, he appears dark and dangerous at first and you’re just not sure about him.  Russell on the other hand, is the nice guy.  He’s a big, athletic, teddy bear that I certainly wouldn’t mind cuddling with! Evie has a pull to both boys and to be honest, by the end, I did too.  I really was #teamrussell for most of the book, but I can see why the girls are fawning for Reed as well.  Polygamy anyone?

While the battle for Evie’s heart is going on, we get to meet some friends that Evie makes… Alfred, who she nicknames Freddie, is what she refers to as her twin.  He seems to get her and quickly becomes a friend.  Buns and Brownie are two girls who live in Evie’s dorm that bring out the fun, playful side of Evie.  They are the girlfriends that you get into moderate trouble with, but will also hold your hand when you are nursing a broken heart.

“If I could save a moment of time, this would definitely be one.  I never seem to get enough time with you.” This is only the first book in a five book series and I can’t wait to read more.  For the first time I think, I really don’t know which guy I want to her to be with in book 5…I guess I’ll just have to keep reading.

Losing It - Cora Carmack

Virginity.
Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible—a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half a brain would ever believe.
And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theater professor.
She'd left him naked in her bed about eight hours earlier. . . .

Okay, I'll be honest...I'm kind of a dummy.  I picked up this book because Cora Carmack is going to be at an author signing in NYC and I thought, since I'm going to have the opportunity to meet her, I should probably read her book.  I didn't know anything about it, I just picked it up and started at page one.  The title of the book should have made me a little less clueless.

I liked Bliss...I liked her name, her friends, her situation and even the way she talked about her mom...for the most part I felt like I could relate to her.  "Somewhere between Saved by the Bell and Gossip Girl, it became unheard of for a girl to graduate college with her V-card still in hand." I felt like from page one, I could identify with her struggles, things have changed a lot since our parents were in college.

So while her best friend sets out on a mission to get her laid before she graduates, Bliss is still torn with whether or not this is how she wants it to go down.  Can she really just give it up to a one night stand after all this time?

And of course with any good story, a one night stand (or a one night encounter) is never as simple as just that, "Whoever said one-night stands were supposed to be simple with no strings attached had clearly never met the disaster that was me."

The not so simple, but delightfully delicious Garrick enters the picture *and swoon* and it's as complicated as it can be.  He seems so perfect for Bliss...their back and forth banter is there from the first moment and only continues to get better as the attraction increases (even though it's complicated).

But with everything being the way it is in life, it doesn't always work out the way we want it to.  "My mother had told me once when I was little and had a friendship fall apart that some relationships just end.  Like a star, the burn bright and brilliant, and then nothing in particular goes wrong, the juts reach their end.  They burn out."

This story was an unexpected good read.  It was cute and just the right amount of angst to keep you interested but not so much that you'll be twisted up in knots.  I do plan to read her next book, Faking It.  I hope the cuteness continues.
